I find most apps do allow me to change the tile, specifically apps that are updated for windows 10. This improvement could be added to Windows 10 (theres no Phone after the word Windows now) but Im not sure, lets wait for the preview version and some folks might see some new changes.

I'd love to turn off people app tile but can't. Unfortunately, you cannot turn off Live Tiles animation in Windows Phone (yet).

Open the Start menu choose SettingsPersonalizationStart turn. I don't need it showing me apps/games that I can see by clicking on it. It probably goes without saying, but you can hide the Recently added section if you like. I typically go in quite a lot of times a day to check for updates or anything else.

The store tile for example messes up my theme. Specifically ones that may mess with my theme or ones I don't need to be informed on just like to go into when I need to. Is there a way to do this in Windows 10 Mobile If I tap-and-hold on a tile, the only options are to resize and unpin. It may not go with their cool theme? I like to disable live tiles for certain apps. On Windows 10 I can right-click any tile in my Start menu and choose to turn off the live tile functionality, turning it into a static app icon.
